Wrestle Like a Girl
Wrestle Like A Girl was founded in 2016 by Sally Roberts, a United States army combat veteran and 2x world bronze medalist in women's wrestling. Roberts started this organization to support the idea that women should be afforded the same level of opportunities as men to participate in the sport of wrestling. The mission of this organization is to help empower girls and women through wrestling, keep them confident and engaged within the sport, and provide exposure to a sport they may never have considered before. They help support the start up of new girls high school wrestling programs and advocate to increase the number of girls high school state tournaments across the United States; while also holding regular empowerment wrestling camps and clinics. Their website holds further information and has petitions available to sign to help sanction women’s wrestling as a sport in every state.
